ENRICH partners visited Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) from 15th to 18th September 2014 to study the innovation ecosystem within the University and get first-hand experience in daily STI support service operation.
The visit included a number of meetings with prestigious figures within the Scottish innovation community such as Glasgow City of Science and Scotland’s innovation agency. Furthermore, one day was spent in Edinburgh to see at first hand some major initiatives within the University of Edinburgh and the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
The study visit was combined with a consortium meeting to discuss the preliminary results of the benchmarking survey on the Innovation Ecosystem in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda: Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) policies, initiatives and support services, and assist in writing up the comparative analysis and recommendations to HEI top management & policy makers. The next project activities were also discussed.
